Description: The CREDIBLE project aims to foster faith in carbon farming across the EU. At its core, it seeks to establish a network of networks that will serve as an intricate web connecting initiatives, projects and stakeholders dedicated to transparency, environmental integrity and standardised methodologies in soil carbon accounting. This network, initially scientific in nature, will metamorphose into a driving force for policy changes and business innovations. The project’s overall objectives include the development of a toolbox for advancing carbon farming, standards and policies, carbon monitoring through data repositories and discussions for broader implementation.
Synergies with Soil-X-Change: At the EU level, Soil-X-Change actively contributed to the CREDIBLE project’s session titled “Farmers’ and Regions’ Perspectives on Carbon Farming” during the 2nd Carbon Farming Summit held in Dublin (March 2025). The session provided a space to reflect on the role of farmers, regions, and OGs in the development of inclusive and regionally adapted carbon farming frameworks. The project’s experience with national and regional advisory systems, and its role in connecting practice-driven innovation, added valuable insights to the dialogue.
